Hi Mark,

Ah good stuff. Welcome to one of my humble little abodes! Glad you like the name! :o)

I had a read of your blog re. Twitter, it's good stuff. You're right, the 'hate' thing depends on my mood! Recently I've had a load of them come through, no info about them, no updates at all, so it just makes me feel like, 'what am I meant to do with that?' - gives me no incentive to follow back at all.

But yes, like you I sometimes go back, see what people are saying, and if they interest me, I will follow back....

Hi Richard
Followed a tweet by @IanMcKendrick to your blog - as he liked the name (so do I). Then saw this post re Twitter.

I wrote a similar piece on my blog last year setting out what you can expect if you follow me. In that post I explain that I only follow back some people. I noted that I too avoid following people for the same reasons as you. Not so much 'twitter pet hates' for me though, more people who have yet to engage me sufficient to want to follow them.

Don't mind at all Sharon, no!

As I said in the main article - everyone should treat Twitter as they see fit. It is a tool after all, everyone will use it differently. To my mind, there are no right or wrong answers, just different ways of using it.

What I meant by conversation was, rather than it just being endless broadcasts, I prefer it when I engage in discourse with other people I'm following, as I do every day. I feel people would get bored of me very quickly if I was just 'Ad, Ad, Ad, Ad' etc. lol. But again, that's just my preference....

Hope you're enjoying Twitter, and hope you come back to the blog and comment again soon! :o)

Stumbled upon your blog- interesting twitter comments.......mostly I agree....... however the constant conversation ........... msn and face book do that .
twitter allows a more random out of the box contribution...... and thats it's appeal for me........
140 characters means restricive convo..................& even with a bio ..........you never know who your engaging with.......... just thoughts that's all...........hope you dont mind me responding..........
