Episode 5 – May 2010 - “Audio Marketing, a Podcast Special Edition” (24m 14s)

This is a recording of a talk I recently made at a 4Networking event in Sutton Coldfield. I talk about the importance of businesses utilising audio in their marketing strategies, how it can open up massive new avenues of audience, for the people that are auditory learners, i.e. they absorb information better in audio form. I talk about podcasting, the power of the human voice, branding your company with audio, the immense reach of the iTunes podcast directory, and how businesses can easily implement audio in their current marketing plan.

Great podcast Richard, really useful and displays your considerable talents as always!

Great example of ‘Organic PR’ – you were giving the talk, but you also used it to create a podcast and then you have mentioned that on social media. Well done!

    Keep up the good work!

PS. Just bought a decent microphone to go with my Kodak Zi8!

    Thanks Nigel!

Glad you like. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing to be honest. I recorded my 4Sight talk, mainly as a record for me, then thought ooh, I could actually release this as a podcast as I’m sure people could benefit from it’s info!
So yes, it’s not a typical podcast that I’d create, but I think it kinda works in a weird way.

Loving the organic PR aspect, it just really seems the done thing now isn’t it, linking it all together, podcasts/blogs/social media, into one big PR and marketing/advertising machine!

Great to see you’ve got a decent Mic for it – as you know I’m a BIG fan of audio/visuals! :o )
