Last Thursday I went along to the ‘Taste Of Birmingham’ event at Cannon Hill Park in Edgbaston – it’s basically an event where all local food & drink producers have stalls so you can sample everything they make.
Thursday’s part of the proceedings was termed ‘A Taste Of Business’, designed for all the local businesses to get first dabs on the good stuff, and treat it as a networking ‘do’. I have a mantra that I go by when at food events, it’s easy-to-remember acronym is: “FYFWAMFFAP” – “Fill Your Face …

I had a conversation with someone the other day about various forms of marketing in today’s world, with all the technology we have nowadays compared to say 10 years ago. This person wasn’t too out of touch with what you could do now, but they certainly weren’t an uber-geek! We were on the subject of podcasts, and how they can benefit businesses within their existing marketing mix. This person thought, by the name podcast, that you needed an iPod to play it on! (Bless…)

Twitter Pet Hates

It’s no surprise to many that I’m a big fan of Twitter. However I’ve only been using it for a relatively short space of time. I signed up with an account at the end of the Summer last year, but only properly started using it about 8 months ago. Generally, I find it to be a fantastic tool for sending little messages, random little thoughts I have through the day. and promoting things that I do or have going on.

Isn’t it great when random connections happen? I don’t mean connections like the intermittent fuse in your desk lamp, but real-life occurrences that could lead to amazing things?
I’ll give you an example.
